    Have any of you ever bought an Agility Tunnel for your dog? They come in different sizes, some with anchor stakes for fixing the tunnel to the ground for different routings.

    I think a tunnel for a large dog in an 18 foot length would be a good starting size for our 2 canines.

    I think you've been on the Banter Thread too long. :p

    @Hal Pollner
    What is the difference between a dog running in the yard or running through the tunnel?? It's just something you have to move when you mow.

    Our back yard is a large dog-run. They need something else to challenge their navigational mobilty.

    Also, you don't mow decorative landscape gravel...it dulls the mower blades.

    Yeah, but you need to start dogs with that kind of training when they are young pups. Older dogs will give you "the look", sniff the tunnel thing, and go lay in the shade.

    Of course you can buy several of them to put on the donation pile with the swimming pool.

    Agility activity for dogs, tunnels, poles, jumps, zigzag is the same thing as golf, hockey, baseball etc, is for us. Some dogs thrive on the activity.

    I used to have a coworker who was a breeder/trainer of Shelties, show dogs. Her dogs competed in agility, which includes the tunnels, jumps, etc. So I suppose anyone willing to invest the time could train their pet to use those things.

    Ahhhh.... I forgot about where you live. It must be great not to have to deal with getting the lawn mowed every couple of weeks.

    It actually would make a great kid toy. They can crawl in, lay down and roll around the yard.
