I was surprised when my wife told me her surgeon installed a Titanium Plate in her wrist to reinforce her mended fracture.

    Spaced-age materials!

No such luck, young lady! Titanium is weakly magnetic compared to ferromagnetic materials. MRI don't seem to bother it and they produce a powerful magnetic field. For all practical medical purposes it is considered nonmagnetic. You will have to find another way to transport me.
