How right you are - without being 'curious' we wouldn't have had the great inventors nor the great inventions ! @Rosie Sinclair
I think he was a sad kinda guy in real. Sometimes people who are genius and eccentric lack social skills.
@Bess Barber - I say the same about comedians, a lot of them disguise a real sadness - laughter helps
Caves have had magical significance in much of human history, or at least been regarded as places of revelation. Early man chose to create art in hidden, poorly-accessible locations such as the caves of Altamira. Popular entertainment continues to incorporate caves as places of discovery and insight, as when Luke Skywalker had an early visionary encounter with Darth Vader in a cave in a Star Wars movie. I don't wonder that Leonardo had a strange and almost mystical life-changing cave experience that altered his perceptions...
Saw a programme last night which featured the Temple of Abydos Inside were wall carvings and one feature had the top layer come away over time Underneath this layer were more carvings as though purposely hidden and I just could not believe my eyes There was a carved helicopter - a submarine and what I will describe as a space shuttle There was no doubt what these objects were, as with some carvings and De Vinci drew the same objects So, thousands of years ago they 'saw' the future to come Also featured was the Baptism of Christ painting which I've seen before, which shows 'absolutely' a UFO above them There was another painting, did not catch that name, where there were several UFOs above - just amazing to see
Another old painting depicting a UFO “The Madonna with Saint Giovannino” was painted in the 15th century. The object in the sky in the background, that the man and his dog appear very interested in, looks a lot like a UFO…
I think the object in the sky is more likely Religious Symbology. https://www.historicmysteries.com/madonna-with-saint-giovannino/ "Some people believe that the UFO in the painting is just one of the many representations of the gospel passage, “. . . shepherds abiding in the field keeping watch over their flock by night. And lo, an angel of the Lord come upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them . . .” Gospel of Luke 2:8." "Other paintings from the Florentine Renaissance period depict a similar nativity scene with a shepherd and dog looking at a celestial object in the sky. The objects were most commonly angels and stars as the “Annunciation” took place across the land within Nativity scenes. However, across different times periods, God, angels, and other divine entities have often been portrayed in various ways in the form of fire, stars or comet-like objects, clouds, or on golden chariots flying through the sky."
We are talking about a painting and painters from 1500. I think understanding what they did and why they did it, is much more exciting than falling back on the knee-jerk reaction, that "it must be aliens".
