I don't have Osteoporosis and have always had calcium in my eating but just had the Infusion this morning as a preventative measure. Most PC docs would encourage it.

ZOLEDRONIC ACID (Reclast) Zoledronic acid is a bisphosphonate prescribed to prevent or treat osteoporosis or Paget's disease. Unlike other common bisphosphonates that are taken by mouth, Reclast bypasses the stomach because it is an infusion into the bloodstream. Bone is a living tissue constantly being remodeled.

Lon, if you don't have osteoporosis, why would you need the infusion? No offense, but that sounds to me like doctors pushing something on patients to make more money for themselves.

Wrong Shirley.. It's preventative just like a Flu Shot. It strengthens bones.
