Whatever you wish to call the World Series, I still love it as I am an inveterate baseball fan simply for the love of the game. But, there are many misnomers out there and no one seems to mind too much except maybe the millennials. However, they certainly have come up with some real flabbergasting memes.
The Miss Universe thing: She’s outta this world! America’s got talent is a sly play on a word: It does not say, “Americans got talent”. The Hispanic food isle: As some people in foreign countries believe that cowboys and Indians are still at odds in the U.S., many Americans believe that all Spanish speaking people eat tacos and burritos. The World Series: Everyone is invited but no one wants to say “pretty please” first.
Thanks for clearing that up, Bobby! However, I am still not going to be happy about the Hispanic food isle thing. It was once called the Mexican food isle until some liberal non hispanic, non latino, non Mexican person made a fuss about it being a racist store. Yet they didn't go next door to tell the legal immigrant Mexican cafe owners that they were racist calling their cafe Mexican.
That’s because the Mexican cafe owner’s bi-racial lesbian daughter is married to the mayor’s half American Indian transsexual son.
