Only once. I had had major surgery many years ago and post operatively, the nurses kept after me to take something for pain. I just wanted to get out of bed and walk it off as I am allergic to morphine. I had an injection of morphine when I was a teenager after an appendectomy and nearly died as a result. Well, this nonsense continued until the doctor arrived and insisted I have pantopan. Weirdest stuff ever. I felt myself in bed, but for some reason I was also up in a corner of the ceiling of the room and listening to the conversations below me and observing myself in the bed. I don't know if this qualifies as a true out of body experience, but never again. Next day, I was up and walking. Best thing ever.
Thanks, Bill. I am glad I found it too, thanks to Lon Tanner. He's a friend from another site. I haven't been to Oklahoma in 60yrs. Big oil country back then.
Not so much now. I'm actually a transplanted texan, moved here to be near our son and his family because health issues had made us not the hoss we used to be. A throw back to the oil patch, never amounted to much of anything but did know how to make a hand, a survivor I suppose.
