Hey, you can post a picture of your face and we can all evaluate. :D
    Just kidding.
My face always looks like I'm bored when someone is talking, so when I remember, I cover it up with a fake look of attentiveness.

My first thought @Von Jones is that most people would be self evaluating after someone made a remark
Such as your example. My second thought was that only a skitsafrinic (sp.) would be so self assured that
No evaluation is necessary or normal, except a defensive attitude is probable normal for some. But since I am such an ignoramus, i can’t and perhaps should not attempt to speak to such a good subject you brought up.

To me no-one is an ignoramus they just lack the knowledge about something that another has.

When someone informs me of the way that I am/was at any point in time I often take a humorous self effacing stance in order to lighten the mood and disarm the situation.

If the statement is applied in a critical manner, I do check myself. If that other person seems off base I immediately apply their criticism to them and more often than not it fits.

I've found that what most people seem to see is just a reflection of the way they are thinking/feeling and it's from there that their sensitivity grows. Then my sense of empathy gains insight into the other and sometimes that's where I let it stand. Informing some people why you think they feel this way about you evokes their consternation.

Then there are those who say such things with ulterior motives or just to get a response. These are the moments my chrysalis shudders as my shapeshifter within takes the form of a chameleon. When I turn into them, either they are elated or they find their perceptions melt into oblivion and universal balance is restored.

When anyone say anything to me in my head I think OK that is your opinion. I might even give that response because someone says something it does not make it fact but you can give it validity with your response. Like if someone give me the middle finger I smile and say you think I am number one thank you.

If the comment is favorable I will thank them. Otherwise, to make an unfavorable comment about you to your face is rude. I'll give them a smart answer and forever avoid them. Like that SOB is perfect!

The only time I think someone is an ignoramus is when they refuse knowledge.

Beth...don't you know that I'm being facetious? My fiscal holdings are secondary to my more admired ones!

What I like most about myself are my Musical talents, my ready Wit, and my Movie Collection!

I praise those like Ken, Bobby, and Frank for their masterful use of the English Language, among other talents.

The Ladies have their individual talents too!

    Na Nana Na Na :p

I can honestly say, I care a whole lot less about what people's opinion of me is than I did when I was younger.
There are days I really don't care what anyone thinks. :D
