Because of too many rude people. My playing is basic compared to many and young guitarist are so critical. Also my old ego is very fragile.

I began studying guitar in 1957...and although I've been at it for 62 years, I CAN'T PLAY ANY TUNES ON IT! It wasn't my intention from the beginning to learn to play songs on the guitar...I wanted to build a CHORD background so I could accompany vocalists and other instruments, as well as providing chord backing for the group I happened to be playing in at the time. The same with my piano playing...people will hear me playing and compliment me and ask what that song was I was playing. I tell them it wasn't a song at all...just an extended CHORD PROGRESSION! I'm a CHORD musician, boys and girls! As for my favorite Guitarist...it was and always will be...LESTER POLLSFUS! (You know him as Les Paul) Hal
