There are only three countries in the world that don't use the metric system.
For simplicity's sake, most of the more than 200 countries in the world use the metric system when describing things like length or mass. However, there are three countries that don't: .........
Liberia, ...... Myanmar, .....and the .....United States...

 

This is only annoying for me when I watch a documentary and they go all metric, is I can't see the size or distance in my head. I always planned to learn it properly, but now, at 64, I doubt I'll bother. I'll just watch in confusion along with some lady in Liberia.

It's annoying for me when it comes to tools or things that are made using the metric system.

I was trying to remove a bolt using the standard 'inch' measurement and just couldn't get it off. After examing my dilemma I saw that my tool wasn't fitting just ever so slightly.

I never thought that I would need to use any metric tool for anything so off I went to Harbor Freight.
