She and her sister, who was my late daughter in law like glass tops. I am a wood person and she had a marvelous coffee table in her other home when she was married to her first husband. The entire set was just magnificent. All made of reclaimed hard wood from African forests. Beautiful stuff, but he kept it and the house as a part of the divorce packet. But you should see some of the nice things she has now. I should have snapped them. She has a small sized British telephone booth for her liquor cabinet and a wonderful pirate's chest that is a bar. Her husband is from the U.K. and she picks up stuff each time they visit.
This is what it looks like outside my house right now. Snowing to beat the band and more on the way. Welcome December.
Wow! How pretty. We've had no snow and only a little cold but that north and northwest wind made the cold, colder and blew a few semi's over and it makes for a bad hairday and when you get out in it, you want to lean into it for safeeties sake.
It has turned into an icy mix at the moment and supposed to go back to snow about 2:00 a.m. Bad for those who must drive. Our roads are kept clean, but they ice up quickly. Some people in NJ think the sun is shining in the middle of summer, the way they drive in this stuff, then wonder why they wipe out.
Yesterday on the way back from the recycle centre, and also dropping some donations off at the homeless centre in the next town, we stopped off mid afternoon at the village pub for a late lunch and a drink. It was sunny, altho' cold, and we didn't stay long because it was 2.30pm and it gets dark at 4pm, and we were already losing sun by 3pm when we left..but this is the view from the pub garden
Marley and I out for our morning walk this a.m. Snow almost all melted, but started snowing again this p.m. Not amounting to much at this time.
Thanks Lois, yes we're very lucky here where we live in the rural shires in the greater London area...
