Well we always play Christmas songs throughout December and now we're only 6 days from the Big Day... it's a huge holiday here (we don't do thanksgiving) , so we enjoy it for as long as possible....and yes we may be going away for a couple of days, but not before Christmas day
I am leaving at 2 pm for my son's. I'll be down there for 2 weeks. And................I am told I have to cook Christmas dinner since my late daughter in law's cousin won't be able to make it. So, I am elected. Merry Christmas.
We dont do Thanksgiving, Fourth of July or Halloween (only small) so Chrissie time is special in my calendar.
Is this the official Christmas thread? If so I will post this. I watch a different version of this Dicken's classic every Chrissie time without fail. Probably as to me it epitomizes what the true spirit of this special occasion means. My fave version is the 50s one with the incomparable Brit actor Alistair Sim as the miserly Ebenezer Scrooge. I understand the latest version has Australia's Guy Pearce in the Scrooge role.
