I missed getting to Hobart on a trip to Melbourne but enjoyed some great Tasmanium wines on a cruise from Sydney to Singapore.
I have a friends who lives in Devonport and also Launceston Tasmania... ...as an aside did you know that the Tasmanian devil female gives birth to 40 babies at once and they are only the size of a grain of rice at birth ... Only 4 will survive at that point because she only has 4 teats so it's literally the survival of the fittest . Did you also know that for it's size the Tasmanian devil has the strongest bite of any animal in the natural world ? Did you also know that Tasmania although south of Australia is much cooler than the mainland and commonly has snow in winter.
I wouldn't know that, Errol Flynn was long before my time... in fact he died soon after I was born...
I knew of course. Who do you think the expression "Tasmanian devil" is referring to..well before the cartoon character was seen on our tellies.
Yes he was, as so many were - you could count on one hand the worthwhile men (and women) in showbusiness But, as an actor he had a uniqueness and certainly oodles of charm
He never really lost his accent either no matter how American he sounded in his films. There was always a distinctive Aussie twang in there. Patsy there is a new tv movie about Errol's early days before he went to Hollywood. I expect you have seen all his other biopics and docos.
I took this walk when I was in Hobart Patsy. Note his replica Hollywood Walk of Fame Star. https://www.weekendnotes.com/errol-flynn-tour-hobart/
