Are you using the web browser that came with the operating system on your computer, or have you installed a browser that you like better?
Would add-on be considered as 'installed?' Internet Explorer came with the computer but my default is Chrome/Google.
Yes, of course. I don't think anyone would replace the default browser insofar as trying to delete it, but they might make another browser the default. The question is to the one that you most often use.
Safari is the default browser for all of my Apple devices, it works fine for me, and I have never even considered changing to any other browser . I use Bing as my preferred search engine, and am happy with that, too, plus I get points for using Bing. I think that the Kindle uses the Silk browser, which seems to do okay, although I mostly just read on the Kindle and seldom do any online browsing because I prefer my ipad .
Since I got my larger Kindle, I spend more time online with it after going to bed, but before falling asleep, and I kind of like the Silk browser. If it were available for macOS, I would certainly install it and see how well it compares to Safari. Actually, it reminds me a lot of Safari.
I mostly use Firefox and Opera, unless on the Macbook then it's Safari. I also have Chrome installed but I use it infrequently. I have discovered that there is a problem with ad blockers and the rebates websites, so if I'm using Rakuten (Ebates) or MrRebates I have to use the Edge browser to complete an online purchase. Annoying as heck but I'm not disabling my ad blockers.
I love ad blockers. They also have them for YouTube, but since I use it so much, I just pay the monthly fee for no adds or at least the option to skip them after a couple of seconds.
