I should think that a man as intelligent as you would have no trouble at all posting from YouTube to the forum here. If you really want to.
I really want to Shirley, but I get so frustrated with what I feel are the number of steps required to do anything. Bobby Cole really wants to help me, but I'm afraid I'm insulting him with the negative comments about my progress..... I'll have to apologize when I answer his next post. I'm sorry.. hal
I agree that a demo is worth 1,000 words. But I can't stand that it takes him over three minutes of "blah, blah" to describe what could have been said in 20 seconds or less.
I went through that instructional video that Bess provided and was just as confused as ever. Everybody talks about a "URL". What is it and where is it found? Thanks, Hal
It’s simply an address. Each web site has an address which is called a url. (Inform resource locator) Isn’t all this covered in your computer for dummies books? Hal, you’ve already admitted that you have a tendency to forget things so why not locate the things you need to know in your guide books and ear mark the pages for further reference when you forget? I’m sure, no, I am darned sure that URL’s and a myriad of things have already been explained many times so yeah, find the page in your guide books and mark them.
Hal; this is as simple as I can make it. I assume you know how to open multiple tabs on your internet browser. Open two tabs in your browser; open one for Youtube and one for Seniors Only. In the Youtube tab... Go to the Youtube video you want to share. Look underneath the video for the word SHARE, and click on it. When the box pops up, look for the word COPY and click on it. Without closing that window, click to open the tab for Seniors Only Club. Go to the reply box where you want to add the video and RIGHT CLICK. When the drop-down box opens, click PASTE. Click POST REPLY.
Hal, a supervisor I had years ago gave me this advice; "You don't need to know all the answers. You just need to know where to find them." The best way to learn things is to figure it out for yourself. Take the time to GOOGLE "what is a URL" and find your answer. In simple terms; a URL is the address of a webpage online. It normally begins "http://" or "https://" and is located at the top of your screen in the address bar on every website you visit. Here's an example: https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-1-d&q=what+is+url If you click on that URL, it will take you to that website "address."
OK Beth, I'll print out your instructional post so I'll have all the steps I need for the task...this will save me the need to leave the operation and go back to your post for every step, because I can't even remember more than one step at a time, and sometimes I can't even remember that one step after I go to another screen on the PC. (But first I'll have to free Zoltar) Hal
IT WORKED, BETH....IT WORKED!!! I printed out your instructional post (#38), and used it for following your steps, and it worked, as you probably knew it would! If you give me your mailing address, I'll send you a Five Dollar Bill! Hal
By the way, Hal... there is a slightly faster way to link a video here. But it involves the nefarious, dreaded "URL" so I suppose we'll just let sleeping dogs lie.
