    One verse goes:

"Now listen, all you Farmers, I'll talk to you with sense.
If you want to see them Electric Lights, just look right over the fence.
Don't fool with them City Folks, you'll find 'em slick as Lard.
Just buy yourself a Half a Pint and stay in the wagon yard."

This must be a remake of the original since it's quite old, but they did a good job capturing the mood of the song. :D

A college fight song was the big feature of this movie, which starred Lucile Ball.

    "Buckle down, Winsocki, buckle down,
You can win, Winsocki if you knuckle down!
If you break their necks, if you make them wrecks,
You can break their hex, so knuckle down!"

Check out the video on YouTube!

This is one that came out in the mid-50’s, and is a great novelty song. You probably remember this one, too, Hal ?

I can still remember when this was my most favorite song, and I was elated whenever it came on the local radio station !

I'm centuries older than you Yvonne, but I've never heard that one before!

It's probably because it wasn't by Bob Nolan and the Sons of the Pioneers, who featured Roy on their big hits, like "Cool Water" and "Tumbling Tumbleweeds".

    Nevertheless, a cute song!
