    I am SHOCKED !
I thought for sure you would have heard that song, knowing how much you like the Sons do the Pioneers and Roy Rogers. Maybe you heard the other side of the record, “Dusty”, which was written by Roy for his little son ?

(And you are just 8 years older than I am, so pretty short “centuries”.)

Roy Rogers and Dale Evans lived in an estate on Tomahawk Road in Apple Valley, about a mile from our house.

They are both interred in a Crypt in an Apple Valley cemetery.

Dusty managed the Roy Rogers/Dale Evans Museum in neighboring Victorville, until the museum was moved to Branson, Missouri.

Roy Rogers' legal name is Leonard Slye.

I hadn't heard any of those, with exception to the one Bobby posted. They were quite enjoyable.

@ Hal Polner Since I see you've gotten embedding video's down, I'm looking forward to seeing what all you post!

Probably not a lot when he finds out he can start his own YouTube channel and then @Beth Gallagher will be busy again. :)
Maybe he’ll provide his own rendition of: “Who put the bop in the bop-sh-bop-sh-bop”.

An old 1877 Music Hall song about a battle between a Russian and a Turk had been sung for over 140 years in Beer Taverns by countless College kids.

Here's a transfer from YouTube, known mostly as "Ivan Skavinsky Skavar"

    l

Incidentally, from early infancy until I entered the Army at age 24, I was always known by my middle name of "Ivan", which my Mother hung on me because of her Russian/Ukrainian/Polish heritage.

My friends and relatives thus jokingly called me "Ivan Skavinsky Skavar", from the song.

I was asked by the Army to use my first name of Harold (later informal nickname of Hal)

    Cheers,
    Harold Ivan Pollner

"He rides through the jungle tearin' limbs off of trees (refrain)
Knocking great big monsters dead on their knees (refrain)
Other cats don't bug him, 'cause they know better (refrain)
"Cause he's a mean motor scooter and a bad go-getter" (refrain)

Can you identify this novelty song of 1960?

This is an old one from Ray Stevens, performance on the Andy Williams show, 1969. Along Came Jones.
