Imagine the added expense of simply providing full-time security for them in Canada. SHEESH. If I were British, I'd be simmering.
I just heard a news anchor refer to Harry as the "former" prince. Whaaaaaa?? Of course, we can always depend on the media to get it wrong.
Queen Elizabeth didn't call Harry and Meghan by their royal titles in her announcement. She usually does. She called them Harry and Meghan.
Maybe he can take a page from The Artist Formerly Known as Prince and can be The Royal Formerly Known as Prince. (And party like it's "1999").
61 monarchs later.....a really stupid girl brings it down. I see the beauty of the 'off with their head' idea.
Yeah, back in the olde days, the monarchy could banish them to the Falklands or somewhere. Now they're on social media and all bets are off.
Sorry but I see nothing wrong with them not wanting to be a Royal .I do think they went about it wrong.
I'm sure you have a much better understanding than I would have on the subject. I suppose for me, not wanting to do royal duties is one thing, taking the children to another country to grow up so their mother can pursue her acting career is something else. It shows a lack of respect for the monarchy. If the couple doesn't want to fulfill the job, I don't understand why the UK should pay for anything. He's a millionaire in his own right and should take care of his own family. They could've at least waited until the Queen was no longer alive. It's got to be devastating for her. She's an old fragile woman. But again, this is my American opinion and I really don't have a clue how the UK feels about it, other than what you guys post. I'm probably sharing a misguided opinion based on me watching a mini-series.
U do realize I am Texas born and bred ? Did not know about her trying to act again..um that could cause many issues. And I agree...if not acting on behalf of the monarchy and the Queen...pay your own way and your own security.
