The New York Post is reporting Kobe Bryant has been killed in a helicopter crash in California. He was forty-one. He played for the Lakers for a couple of decades. -- NY Post
I'm not a sports fan, but like @Ken Anderson , I certainly knew who he was. One of the most famous athletes we've ever had. What a tragedy.
So saddened by this.....the world has truly lost one of the greats of basketball....my 12 year old granddaughter is very upset....she plays b-ball and watches NBA games all the time....she will now understand more of the truth of how all humans pass on when their time is up in no uncertain way, shape, form or age ....I luved b-ball as a kid....saw live games at Madison Square Garden a few times back in the 60's....
While I am a big sports fan, basket ball was never one of my favorites. Since I devour the sports pages, I certainly knew all ab She was his second oldest. Also one of her team mates and her parent were also on that chopper along with several other people.
Apparently several "news" outlets decided that getting it first instead of getting it right was the way to go. https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/opinion/media-mangle-and-mishandle-details-of-kobe-bryants-death
The news seems to be ignoring the fact that other people were on that helicopter and are just as dead as Kobe Bryant.
I wish light aircraft-helicopters would 'not' fly in dense fog - too many tragedies down to this fact alone
