Then they don't want you to see stories like this one. https://earthobservatory.nasa.gov/images/145185/major-greenland-glacier-is-growing

Jakobshavn Glacier in western Greenland is notorious for being the world’s fastest-moving glacier. It is also one of the most active, discharging a tremendous amount of ice from the Greenland Ice Sheet into Ilulissat Icefjord and adjacent Disko Bay—with implications for sea level rise. The image above, acquired on June 6, 2019, by the Operational Land Imager (OLI) on Landsat 8, shows a natural-color view of the glacier.

Jakobshavn has spent decades in retreat—that is, until scientists observed an unexpected advance between 2016 and 2017. In addition to growing toward the ocean, the glacier was found to be slowing and thickening. New data collected in March 2019 confirm that the glacier has grown for the third year in a row, and scientists attribute the change to cool ocean waters.

Tex Dennis you are right but now they want to tax you on weather. Great scam

In the Western World it is a race to go mobile electric, even planes. In Britain providing enough charging points is a dream. the government receives huge sums from car tax but to appear green they exclude electric vehicles. The loss of revenue would be enormous. If the threat of Global Warming is true then politicians, royalty and people of influence would be setting an example but their gross Co2 travel consumption is a mockery. It's all a gamble. If you are seventy or over the you will not suffer, younger people will just have to spin the coin.

Well, naturally. There is one set of rules for the unwashed masses and quite another for the "elite."

We have newly been taxed on rain in the entire Susquehanna River basin in PA. No joke. Its purpose is to reduce the amount of sediment that flows into the Chesapeake Bay. A federal government unfunded mandate issued by the Obama administration required it. We are taxed by the amount of "impervious" area around our property from which rain runoff occurs. Millions has been spent on street sweepers, personnel, etc. and homeowners, farmers and even the county has to pay for it.

I don't really know. If you listen to the scientific people, watch some of their videos
it would seem the planet is heating up some. They are the experts and like space
exploration, scientific knowledge is all we have.. So, everything else is merely an
opinion. I think the question is or maybe should be, are humans causing the planet
to heat up or is the heating due to natural increases in thne planet's temperature.
I suppose when a large portion of Florida and Louisiana are under water and Australia
is flooding instead of burning we'll argue if the cause is melting ice pr the raikn in
    Bandladash.

Too often, science is merely a political tool.

The north pole refuses to cooperate with the climate change people who say the ice is disappearing at the poles. The north pole has record ice this year.

Researchers from the U.S. Geological Survey Global Change Research Program say they are alarmed at what is happening to the Sperry Glacier in Glacier National Park, Montana. They're doing what they've been doing for more than a decade: measuring how the park's storied glaciers are melting.

So far, the results have been positively chilling. When President Taft created Glacier National Park in 1910, it was home to an estimated 150 glaciers. Since then the number has decreased to fewer than 30, and most of those remaining have shrunk in area by two-thirds. The US G.S. estimates that within 30 years most if not all of the park's glaciers will disappear.

Not so the South Pole @Martin Alonzo.
West Antarctica is losing ice at an accelerating rate. Many of the region's glaciers are by the sea, which is warming.

Perhaps Martin this is the reason for the lack of ice loss in the North Pole.
In East Antartica where the ice is mostly above sea level, the air temperature is also much lower, and the experts do not expect the ice to melt on account of rising temperatures.

You read far too much climate change propaganda. Australia must really be pushing that nonsense. In the late 1900s, climate researchers drilled into the summit of Greenland’s ice sheet. Analysis of the cores showed a record of climate change going back about 100,000 years, demonstrating that the weather and temperature have shifted rapidly throughout this time. The same is true thoughout the planet. The history of the earth is one of ice ages, global warming, and a return to ice ages, and everything in between. Twenty years ago, the thickness of the ice in Greenland was thickening. Climate change is what the earth does. What agenda politicians and their hired guns in the science community do is try to freak people out every time some part of the world has a warm summer, a cold summer, or a storm, although these are all things that have occurred throughout the history of the planet. It’s not about the climate. It’s about control, and as long as they can get people to let the experts do the thinking for them, they have the control as long as they control the experts.
