Indeed it is... and there was also Butter and blackcurrant jam.... As I wasn't permitted to eat since the previous day or have a drink for 4 hours before my procedure they were very fast in bringing something for me to eat and drink... and it was the best cuppa tea I'd had for ages...
No it's not NHS it's a private hospital... however I would have got the same in an NHS hospital after the same procedure... Everything went well.. thanks for asking, worst case scenario was not confirmed thank the lord, ( one difference between private and NHS is that we get our results immediately without waiting for weeks for them to go through our GP first )... but more tests are needed for me , so I'll be back again next Wednesday with the same consultant...
I thought I remembered you at one point saying you hated(or some such phrase) marmalade? Although I suppose that was standard fair with toast like American hospitals.
No I like marmalade, always have... but in this case I didn't eat it, I had the butter and blackberry jam... with just one slice of toast...
That was my thoughts exactly ! I LOVE orange marmalade, and they would never bring something wonderful like that in a hospital here (especially in the South). they brought me coffee that was so burned, I could not drink it and when I asked for tea, all they had was ice tea, and I was already freezing, so none of that for me either. Hoping that the procedure went well, and they have a plan going forward on what needs to be done to get you back to feeling wonderful again, @Holly Saunders . Are you back home from the hospital yet ? Sending more prayers and HUGS ! !
You can see that's why when Non Brits are given horror stories about out medical system why we get so annoyed , and frustrated... because aside from the long waiting times (for the NHS which is absolutely unacceptable) , our medical system is really good.. no blood splattered corridors of dying patients.. as I heard your own president tell the American people when talking about the NHS.. but not just president trump, many other people are led to believe we have a terrible system , simply not true.. I am home now Yvonne, thanks for asking and thanks for the prayers and hugs they're very welcome believe me.. xxx, sore and weary but glad to be home, .. I have to go back for one day next Wednesday, and then I learn how we're going to proceed from there with future treatments

Basically Blackcurrants are sweet, , and blackberries are tart. .... Essentially they come from different plants... Both are very good for you tho'...
