I haven't heard of nor come across any bad words. That's because I have been leading a modest, decent, and secluded life full of dignity, contemplation, and sophistication.

There are some cuss words we refuse to use, such as the "F" bomb, "MF" bomb and the Lord's name in vain. We watched the movie, Once Upon A Time In Hollywood. Talk about lots and lots of "F" and "MF" words, as well as other words like them. It was totally insane! I don't think I've ever seen a movie with so much swearing in it. Would never/ever see it again or recommend it to anyone.

When we were at the Dodge/Chrysler Dealer on Friday morning, I heard the Receptionist, in the Shop, say the "F" word over the phone to someone. She didn't care that she was at work or that any customers were around.

Just what has America come to????

In movies, I don't expect serial killers to have the vocabulary of a Jehovah's Witness but, far too often, there is a whole lot more profanity in movies than is common among real people.

Hmmm. You haven't ridden in the car with me at rush hour. :D:D

Profanity doesn't bother me. Sometimes a hearty expletive just gets the job done.

I think it's BS. They just need to make a conscious effort to not curse.

I don't hear a lot of cussing. Maine has a low population of Christian people so it's not a religious thing. Plus, despite the fact that most of the people around here are retired mill workers, loggers, or woodworkers, I don't hear cuss words often in conversation. I'll hear it from teens who walk by at 2:00 in the morning, but I don't know very many adults who cuss on a regular basis. I do know some, however.

Seems like most of our young folks are impossible at conversation with out several filthy expletives.

I hear ya Lois. When they aren't cursing they are making sexual references. When we were kids we got our mouths slapped for that.

What snags my knickers is when I was younger, I do not ever recall men doing a lot of cursing around the ladies and with the exception of my stepmother, I rarely heard a woman curse. Nowadays, what may have been something people said fairly secretly is now common place out in public and by both sexes.

I would clean up Beth's "Smarty-Pants" and instead say "Intelligent Trousers".
