I KNOW I posted this before, but I'm posting it again because I can't find the original thread! HEY BETH GALLAGHER: You showed me how to transfer a Video from YouTube to the Forum. It worked for a couple times (thank you), but now the drop-down box doesn't have "PASTE" on it, so I have to ask others to transfer videos for me. What's goin' on? Hal
There's no PASTE until you COPY the link. (Paste is what you do when you come back to SoC to "paste" the link.) Go to the video on Youtube. Click on "SHARE" When the box opens, click on "COPY." Come to SoC, open thread, click PASTE.
Beth...that's exactly what I've been doing, but when the drop-down box appears, there's no PASTE on it! Incidentally, what is SoC? Also, in what part of this process is the "LINK" found? Hal
SoC is Seniors Only Club, where I assume you want to paste the video? And nevermind about the link; that's what you are actually copying. You COPY on Youtube, then PASTE on SOC.
Here are the instructions from my old post: Hal; this is as simple as I can make it. I assume you know how to open multiple tabs on your internet browser. Open two tabs in your browser; open one for Youtube and one for Seniors Only. In the Youtube tab... Go to the Youtube video you want to share. Look underneath the video for the word SHARE, and click on it. When the box pops up, look for the word COPY and click on it. Without closing that window, click to open the tab for Seniors Only Club. Go to the reply box where you want to add the video and RIGHT CLICK. When the drop-down box opens, click PASTE. Click POST REPLY.
Perhaps he's having trouble with copy and paste because Larry Tesler, the computer scientist who created "copy" and "paste" died Thursday. He was 74. -- TIME Maybe copy and paste died with him.
