I never knowingly had a poached egg. . Not on my bucket list.. Eggs with runny yolks must be fried with brown crispy edges. I've plopped a raw egg in the water when boiling rice many times. You stir it, and it ends up as little chunks in the rice. Good.
I do that to make egg fried rice... I beat up a whole egg with a little salt , then at the very last second of cooking the rice, I stir in the egg, it takes seconds to cook, and is delicious
