The Premier happened last night at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood. Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley and the rest of the cast were there, along with quite a few fans in costume. Even Billy Dee Williams was there. Some of the same costumes we seen at the Orlando, Florida Star Wars Celebration.

The movie is getting some mixed reviews, but one major magazine Reporter said, "I cried thru the entire second half of the movie". Another Reporter said "absolutely wonderful".

We just watched the video of the Blue Carpet entry of the First Order Stormtroopers, new Stormtroopers (in red outfits), R2D2, CP30, BB8, Chewy and a new (very small) droid. It was really, really cool watching.

Went last night and the movie, to us, was absolutely terrific! Thing is, I believe, by looking around, that most everyone in our theater was much younger than we are. We met one lady that was 3 years old in 1977 when the first movie came out. However, I did meet one guy who was 70, my age.

Actually, a person would have to see the 1980 Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back, to know who Billy Dee Williams character Lando (Administrator of Cloud City) was. He was in this new movie and played a great part.

We will see it again before it leaves the theaters and definitely buy the DVD when it comes out.

Sort of stunning, but a horse owner on another forum said she didn't like this new Star Wars movie at all. She thought Kylo Ren has a mental abuse disability that made him do the things he done in this new movie (Return of Skywalker) and the other (The Force Awakens). It told her this is a movie, not real life. She told me that she has some mental disability and that is why she thought Kylo Ren does also.

I truly didn't know what to think.

Seen the Star Wars/Skywalker movie again last night. This is the second time for us. Since we'd already seen it during it's opening last December, the movie was much more interesting to us.

BUT, what I thought I noticed the first time we seen it, I was right. At the end, when all of the rebel's were celebrating defeating the First Order, two women kissed. It's a very short shot of them doing it, but they did and a few seconds later, they were holding hands. Well, turns out that the two women are married. J.J. Abrams said he hired the lesbian couple, and had them kiss/hold hands, to show that this movie was for everyone. But, there were those Star Wars fans, like ourselves and some others that we talked to at the theater, that didn't like it at all. "Shoving the gay and lesbian community down our throats again" one older lady told us. "This is a Si-Fi movie, not a modern day movie." she also said.

Apparently the gay and lesbian community didn't think to highly of that scene either, at least that's what was wrote online.

Oh, the horror. Sorry, Cody, but you are going to have to join the rest of the world in the 21st century.

Sorry, just like others that don't/refuse to do that, we won't either. Thing is, Beth, why is the GLBTQ community pushed upon others so, so much? Then again, there are those Christians, like John Hagee, that yell and push their beliefs on their congregations. We are Christians, but sure don't stand out on a street corner and yell at folks about Christianity.

I don't know why, Cody. Personally speaking, I don't want to hear about ANYONE's sexual preferences whether they are gay, straight, or whatever. I don't want to watch any of it, either. But I can't waste what's left of my time on earth whining about what other people do because it isn't going to change anything.

Dunno about the Star Wars thing but right now, in real life and not in some futuristic movie, women hold hands and honestly do kiss and guess what, they do not have to be gay to do it. Of course, since I didn’t watch the movie nor do I plan to, I do not know how much passion (if any) was introduced but I’m jus’ sayin’, women do not have to be lesbians if they are a tad more personal with each other than men are.

Well, in two different National Lampoon's Vacation movies, there was some rather odd behavior/talk. In the one, when the Griswold's go to Wally World, they stop by Clark's cousin's home (Randy Quaid) and Eddie's daughter tells Clark's daughter, "daddy told me that I was the best French Kisser". The other movie, Las Vegas, when Clark's family stops by to see his cousin Eddie, Eddie's daughter comes home and after her little "pole dance" kisses Eddie right on the lips to say "hi".

Funny, but today, two sisters can't dance together, as in doing a Swing or rock dancing, without someone thinking they are lesbians. My wife and her sister has done this dancing. However, last weekend, when we were at a country-western nightclub/sports bar, two young ladies were dancing slow together. I looked around and they were definitely getting "looks". But, the one young lady definitely looked like the male part of a lesbian couple. For the rest of the time we were in the place, they didn't dance together again. Wonder why??

Well as you very well know, the National Lampoon movies are comedies so those scenes were simply "shock comedy", making fun of the backward redneck family and hateful stereotypes. (You know that straight white people are the only "unprotected" group now so it's open season.)

As far as why the female couple didn't dance again, if you are so interested why didn't you just ask them? How on earth would anyone else know.
