How many of you have frantically searched for your glasses while you were wearing them? Or something similar, such as searching for your hat while wearing it.

Have you looked in crazy places for stuff after having exhausted all of the sensible ones you could think of? Yeah, more than once I have opened the freezer looking for my glasses, this despite the fact that I have never put my glasses in the freezer, nor can I imagine a situation in which I would.

Wherever you look though, you can be sure that you will find them in the last place you look.

All to often, Ken. All to often. I've even looked for clothes I was wearing. Going nuts one day frantically looking for my uniform skirt one morning while I was in the Air Force. Sad part of that was; I was only 21.

Are you talking about around your neck or on top of your head? I need to have mine on my face as a visual aid you know.:D

I always wondered why persons would put (eye) glasses on top of their heads. Surely they're not as clear to see out of once back in place. I would be afraid they would fall and break or fall and I'd break them by stepping them because I couldn't see.

No, I was wearing them. I never put mine on top of my head. I'm pretty picky about keeping them clean; a speck on the lens drives me nuts. My wife puts her's on top of her head a lot though, so I know what you mean.

That was the problem, Ken. They were too clean.

One time when I did that, I was frantically trying to find them because my son and I were going to go to a movie or somewhere that had a time element. When I asked him if he knew where I had left my glasses, he looked confused rather than amused, and maybe a little afraid because I had obviously lost my mind. He was maybe seven or eight.

    "You're... ... wearing them."

Guilty of all the above, don't think it's an age thing, because i don't wear mine all day, just for reading which it includes sewing, computers, etc, and yes, i've spent a lot of time thinking where i had them last, not an issue now, have 3 pairs, and they're at their designated places. I have had them right in front of me, and i went looking. :oops:o_O;).

    Yep, I'm guilty
I've also gone to put me reading glasses on top of me normal ones
As for looking in odd places, well we have to now, the fridge isn't so cuckoo anymore
but I've decided to look in the 'last place' first from now on ...

Great thought @Patsy Faye Have spent so much wasted time looking in all the wrong places for something, should start in the last possible first. After all that, have to go back to the hurricane that i caused, putting stuff back in place..
