I get the About Page perfectly by using the hyperlink Ken posted. Maybe try it again since you participated in the content.
About four months have gone by since I last posted here so, for anyone who wasn't ready to do so before or who may have joined the forum since then, I would like to invite you to submit a paragraph, or two or three, stating your opinion of this forum for our about page, since I'd rather it be told by our members. As I have said before, I don't pick and choose. If your experience has been bad and you'd prefer to give a negative review, your submission will be published and appreciated. Nice is nice, but only if it's honestly nice.
Send Ken a PM message and describe what the benefits of the forum are to you When you have completed your paragraph it is then printed on Facebook (I think) @Lois Winters
To get to the About page, scroll all the way down to the bottom of any page, and there is a section that is all black with lots of information on it. Under “Quick Navigation” is “About”. click on that and it will open to show you what has already been written, and this is where the new ones will go also. As far as I know, this does not go on Facebook, it is just here on the forum.
Yep - just had a look at the first post on this thread and it seems its a 'forum' posting 'about us' I doubt anyone will look for it - people 'view' a forum first - then join if inclined
People who come to the forum probably won't, for the most part, but it shows up on searches. Plus, having an about page helps with the overall search engine optimization. However, when I visit a website, one of the first things I do is look for an about page. Of course, I'm usually visiting websites for the purpose of listing them in a directory, which includes a sentence or two on what it's about. Since that makes my job easier, I often opt not to list a site without an about page.
