I would like a lopper that would cut at ground level with no bending. I can no longer bend over easily, and I am sure that there are other who are semi-handicapped who would use such a thing as well. I submitted an idea to the Friskars website, but have heard nothing yet, positive or negative. I could make it myself, but it wouldn't work as well as a professionally designed and manufactured tool would.
Heck, I'm enjoying puddin' and Jello with "pull' dates of 2004, 2005! Bought at salvage store in Missouri, 15 cents a packet. Tastes, eats, just fine! Frank
Toasters with windows, so you could see how much your bread is toasting. Oh wait, I don't do windows.
Haha yea, didn't make meself clear at all did I We can't have an air conditioner here, so I need something else that's
Why no air con there? The other is a water cooled, portable device that you have to have near an open window or door.. Kinda defeats the purpose. Are you guys expecting another summer heartwave?
We live in a block of apartments and the units are not allowed Understandable as the flat above me would get 'all' my hot air @Craig Swanson
Modern air cons have outside condenser/compressors (see below). Your apartment building owner is simply a cheapskate with no concern for his tenants. Patsy this is another idea. A portable air con. Cheaper but far more expensive to run than a conventional split system format. Sure to keep you cool if the UK has another heatwave this summer. https://www.lifehacker.com.au/2020/01/how-to-choose-a-portable-air-conditioner/ So get hubby onto it girl. Hope this helps.
Well that's spot on - we are not tenants though - leasehold I've looked into our options and there is nothing - all have exhaust pipes - that's why I want a 'new' invention for people like us
I'm just picturing the scene here in my little apartment - so funny, all the ol gals queuing outside me door @Bobby Cole
Stoves with timers on the burners, like the timers on toaster ovens. At least on one burner would be nice.
That's interesting, Nancy. It reminds me of my son's stove. After his wife passed away 2 years ago, I was spending a lot of time visiting him and making sure he got his meals since like most men, he doesn't cook unless it is a grill or a toaster oven. So, one day, I put something in the oven that had to be timed and he proceeded to tell me to set the timer on the microwave. I asked him why and he said because they had never bought a kitchen timer. Now, he's a computer geek which is his business and I could not believe what I was hearing. The stove is compterized and there is a built in timer right on the computer pad. The icon is an hour glass. He was flabbergasted as neither he nor his wife ever knew this. Guess it takes a mom to figure some of life's hacks out.
