What are your thoughts about this thing?....Some people said that men age better than women..Do you agree? What are your own points of view if you are a man or a woman?
On a level playing field...I think this is generally a true maxim. I think men get better looking with age overall..however despite that, women outlive men in the developed world by as much as 6 years, and in the undeveloped world by as much as 10 years... explanations given in this interesting article... http://news.harvard.edu/gazette/1998/10.01/WhyWomenLiveLon.html
I don't know what you mean by aging better. What I know is that women doesn't age as fast as men because it is in the nature of women to be vain. The clients of dermatologists and plastic surgeons are mostly women who want to be young forever. They go through the process of revitalizing their skin or making some changes to their facial features such as nose and cheeks. Do you know that lately women are going for that pig lips? That is the pouted lips of Angelina Jolie that they are trying to imitate with the help of plastic surgeons. On the other hand, I know of some men who avail of such services but they are a minority compared to the women.
I think women spend more time in front of a mirror than men do. Woman look at make up and beauty treatments, as a time machine, while men are comfortable with the "distressed" look, so popular with furniture & jeans.
The answer is I guess complicated, if you are referring to physical aging I feel on the surface there is not much difference? A senior male with a slim body and greying hair can look attractive to females, on the other hand males generally prefer young flesh and fertility, it's down to procreation and our cultures norms. If we are referring to more than the physical, personally I never found young women that interesting, simply because they had no life experience. I have had many more in depth conversations with older women. Not sure where I am going with this but I feel men generally find aging easier because women see more than the purely physical which always fades in both genders, whereas men are shallower and and often yearn for younger flesh.
I think it's a crying shame; when men get older, they get better looking. When women get older, they just get older.
No, I don't think men age better than women. Men are programmed somehow see older women as unattractive. Women are generally not brainwashed in that way. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
I have a theory, which my wife hates, that because girls mature earlier in life, it stands to reason that this would also be true on the other end, that they age earlier. Once at a restaurant, the waitress offered my wife the senior discount, and not me, yet she is six years younger than me, and did not qualify for their senior discount at the time, while I did. Needless to say, we haven't been back there.
The following states they believe it's all about the skin... oily skin. http://www.lovelyish.com/2009/02/05/why-women-will-always-look-older-than-men/ One thing always promoted by health experts ... drink that water! .. many glasses a day, to stay hydrated.
You asked a question and then answer it. How can men age better when we die younger. If you asked how does one sex look better than the other with age I think that it is up to a person when I was in grade 3 I had a cruch on the teacher who was a lot older than me.
I do agree that if your skin is more oily then wrinkles stay away for longer compared to dry skin......but water for everyone is the key IMO. I drink up to 3 litres of liquid a day mainly very weak tea, and slightly flavoured still mineral waters because I have very dry skin. I always wear a factor 15 regardless of whether there's sun or not all year...in the summer I wear a hat as well and I still tan, but in the winter the sun factor lotion goes a long way to protect my skin from the ravages of the weather...I'm coming up to 61 and I think my skin looks good for it's age....
