The 20-29 age group is a worrying sign with the graph showing more deaths from a local source than an overseas one.
The only deaths S.A. has had so far, is 2 in the last 24 hours ..and both of then had been on “that ship” One was 75 the other was 62
Ditto on the above, plus hand washing, coughing into elbow, social distancing and on and on. I get it already!
Actually I've picked up a good habit from this. I was always kind of sloppy when It came to washing my hands but now do it in every instance that I should have been doing it.
Peter, this is why you call yourself, "Captain Cynical"! Then again, there are those that need this "uplifting" info, or at least they think it's "uplifting". To wife and I, some of it is "uplifting" while other things aren't so much. There are those in society that really, really need to hear this stuff for hope. Compassion is a word I think of.
@Peter Renfro ...I understand. You need to ditch the news and find other things to do. Turn on music maybe. Break away from your normal day much as possible.
One thing for sure, if any of you wound up with a family member, or friend, that got the virus, you definitely might think differently. We don't have family/friend that got it, but we do have some compassion and understanding.
Some people do not learn from advice, but if they have to pay money for their mistakes, they learn very quickly. A huge money penalty and punishment should be imposed on careless people and cash rewards given to informers. Also such people should be forced to serve patients of corona in hospitals. It should be made easy for sufferers to sue the negligent people in courts for damages. This way the situation will start improving in just two days. Doctors and nurses are risking their lives in the war against corona. We should not increase their risks. In wars governments have to take unpleasant decisions. Trustworthy doctors advised me to stay inside my home for at least three months after the lock-down is over since it is extremely dangerous for old people. I do not want to panic but intend to follow advice of reliable doctors 100%. I will do what I can and leave the rest to God's will.

I don't think I'd have enjoyed living in 1930s Germany, even if I were German, nor would I care to have lived in the Soviet Union or China, and I wouldn't enjoy living in the world you're proposing.
Like Ken, I would not enjoy living in your world where people are turning in there neighbors and family. NO THANK YOU.
