Only a very short few years ago..I had never heard of Either Dinah washington or this song.....but since I first heard it about 5 years ago...I've loved it...
This is likely the year I listened this song for the first time, I was 12 years old and used to love a Badfinger's song called "No Matter What" Who would say that I would learn until this century that such a song ("Without You") was originally recorded by Badfinger and written by leader of the band Pete Ham As with other songs, when I heard this song for the first time, I simply loved it!... It wasn't Jackie Wilson singing it, but CCR's John Fogerty back in late 1975 Nonetheless I still love Jackie Wilson's "Chain Gang" However the song playing insistently on my mind liked me but it was never my favorite. Probably it's because I'm considering moving out of this house next week and, if what the songs says to be moving up is all about, I will certainly prefer moving out
@Carlota Clemens , Badfinger ''no matter what'' was a huge favourite of mine in my youth, and remains so until this day...
@Bonnie Thomas I rarely listen to the radio. I keep the one in the car tuned to 96.5, and that's usually what I listen to here at home when I turn it on, which isn't often. I do love music, but have just gotten out of the habit of listening to it, I guess. There are several I would listen to in the area, but they seemed to be changing a lot, so I stopped listening. What's the format at Sunny 99.1? I like most music, even some folk and hip hop (although not the lyrics, sometimes), and have listened to 70s, 90s, country, etc.
It's a lot like 96.5 . (with some older rock mixed in) .. http://www.sunny99.com/articles/what-song-was-that-465018/n-a-10531829/
O.k., thanks, I'll have to check it out. I don't get the best reception here, and sometimes even 96.5 is scratchy, but it sounds like one I'd like .
My beloved Bee-gees, and 2 of my very favourites.... ...and this really cool video of the guys when they were little kids... to another of my favourites... R.I.P Maurice, and Robin...
I'll always love this song....it was top of the charts when I was 15 ...I loved it then..and still today..
