The mills of government move slowly. On some rare occasions however, I saw them move quickly. When ever I feel the government is making a blunder, I explain the reasons to my friends and relatives, and also complain to politicians, newspapers, TV channels, etc. My friends appreciate my logic and my ego is boosted. On rare occasions the governments changed their decisions a few days after my complaints. It may be a coincidence as the politicians never thanked me, or may be several people wrote to them. If you want to change the decisions of a government, I suggest write to all your friends and family explaining why this policy harms the common man. Do not talk about minor things like justice, beauty or truth. Request all of them to write to politicians, newspapers and TV channels. When the politicians fear they are losing votes, you may be surprised how quickly they change their decisions.

Some people do not believe that "You will eat food by the sweat of your brow". Most of us have children and grandchildren. We taught them good lessons since they were infants. Suppose some child is taught by his parents rules like, "Only fools work hard", "Every one is a thief". You can guess the outcome. There is a way to reform lazy people which never failed with me yet. I forced lazy children to do a lot of boring and dull work for a few days, They improved so quickly and their scores jumped so high that even their mothers were surprised. Some people have been unemployed most of their lives and some minorities even for several generations. Some lazy women keep on popping children to get more money and some people pretend to be disabled. The scientist Stephen Hawking could not use his hands or feet. He managed to type several books by moving his head. It is cheaper to keep a man in college than to keep him in prison. The unemployed may not be all highly intelligent. Still work can be found according to their abilities which they can do at home. For example call center or learning Chinese and later translating it. This work will give at least some benefits to society. Even some one who has not done honest work for seven generations, may become eager to find employment if he knows the alternative is to do monotonous work for free. After that only the really deserving will want charity. Several criminals on welfare money will also reform.

I accept firing the captain of Theodore Roosevelt at once, for acting on his conscience. But there is no sign of punishment for lazy officers above him, who caused 500 sailors to get corona. The captain requested many of his superiors to save the crew. They have no answer why they did not act quickly to save lives of sailors. In contrast, they worked at lightning speed to punish the captain and fire him from job. Every superior including commander in chief Trump immediately blamed the captain. Had they been innocent, they would have shouted twice as loud, why superiors delayed so long. No one explains why they delayed and did not act. It is always the lowly soldier who suffers discomfort and risks life. The high officers enjoy money and luxuries no matter how incompetent they are. It is even worse in other countries. Should they not be accountable?

The people at top want people who are loyal to their superior. They hate people who are loyal to their country. Only they did not expect that because of internet the whole world would learn about their shameless behavior. Every veteran can tell you a lot about this. This is a very good case to gofundme for the captain to make up the big losses he suffered. I am sure people retired from armed forces will be delighted that at last some one works for them.

Rather a jaundiced view of a country that you don't live in.

Everything that he has posted has been about punishing someone for some thing. I don’t think that he has any actual conversation beyond condemning people, @Al Amoling, and I have also quit responding to his threads.
