A German company working with US pharmaceutical giant Pfizer has begun human trials of a potential Covid-19 vaccine that could supply millions by the end of the year, according to the two firms. The vaccine has been developed using UQ’s molecular clamp technology that locks the ‘spike’ protein into a shape which allows the immune system to be able to recognize and then neutralize the virus. UQ has also announced a partnership with Cytiva, formerly known as GE Healthcare Life Sciences, which will develop the material for clinical trials and is also preparing scale up equipment for future mass production.

I really enjoyed using the link Thomas. I added the U.S. to it and it shows about 190 or so deaths per million whilst Sweden is sitting at 250 or so. Being able to add to and subtract from the graph gives a lot of world wide dimension to look at I did note the caveat at the top of the graph though. it pretty much says that because of some reporting challenges, the numbers might not be accurate. I’m sure it all depends on how much round-housing is being done. It’s already been proven that the states in the U.S. are including just about everything even remotely related to the virus, e.g. pulmonary, cardiac etc in the stats for virus deaths.
Well, of course they are, Bobby. The things you said in your last sentence are called "underlining" health problems that definitely don't help a person's health if they contract the virus.
My point, Bobby. That's what I also like about it: that it's tentative. There should be more caveats, preferably on top of every post, article, or stats. How often is that the case, though? Over here they are - and have to be - just as cautious and the media exclusively talk about "COVID19-related deaths". I like that. Later on, it will have to be examined what kind of relation that was.
That underlining or rather, underlying projections include those people who could be on their death bed with say....TB and they’d still say that person died because of the virus. All it takes is to test positive (or so it is said) and bang.....whatever other ailments that person has takes second place behind the virus. It’s like reporting that your rope and saddle was stolen when in fact, it was the horse that the saddle and rope was on that was stolen. Or, in comparison, if I had an incidental paper cut and got hit by a car and died, the paper cut would be reported as the cause of death.
The people who cannot cure the common cold or heart burn. These are the only ones we are allowed to use to handle a world pandemic insanity is running wild.
I found out a couple of days ago from my cousin who is nurse practioner in Philadelphia that the County Health Department covering 3 counties there are issuing electronic death certificates and they are not to be signed by the head of the Health Department until the deceased has a corona test. Now, if someone is killed in an auto accident for instance, and they test that individual post death who had no symptoms of the virus, yet the test comes back positive, they are to state on the death certificate that this was one of the major causes of the person's demise. Apparently, it not only propels the numbers upward, it also means more money from the feds for the County. It is cheating all the way around Bobby just as in the cases you just mentioned and this of course tends to frighten the population. What I do have to mention here as well, as you already may know, like Lon, I live in an assisted living facility. I had the virus and have recovered, thankfully. No one has been permitted in or out of this place since the end of March except for those who have either taken ill or died. Yet, the numbers here keep rising. As of the end of April we had risen from 4 residents, 5 team members to 9 residents 8 team members with the COVID-19 virus. I don't have any idea as to how many have died so far as that is confidential at this point. But, why are the numbers going up. I do believe the team members are not as careful as they should be and are bringing it in. For the life of me, since we are so sequestered and isolated, there is no other explanation I can come up with.
Unless each room has its own a/c unit, shared air conditioning could be the culprit. Even if each unit has its own thermostat, if the unit as a whole is shared, then you also share the slightly filtered air. A funny story but not ha ha funny. The hospital my wife went to when she was having heart problems has separate a/c units in each room. I was almost ready to lean on the below the window unit when I noticed a lot of mold in the vent. Needless to say, Yvonne was removed from the room after I “very nicely” alerted the nurses station.
No all our apartments have our own units, but while we do have our own thermostats in each room, we have central a/c.
