Not sure, but what I got out of the post was that it took Lon almost 4 months of quarantine to notice that the person who brings his food is a senior.
Here are some that have been in the news lately, and they look anything except healthy to me ! Just because someone is working in a job connected to doctors or other health professionals, does not mean that they are taking care of themselves.
I believe that middle one is the mayor of Chicago. (You know, the one who couldn't self-isolate because she had to get her hair done.)
They have all had to perform their various jobs under very trying conditions and thus far our facility has been virus free. Food preparation and delivery to residents is outstanding considering all the safety measures to be followed.
It's not just the Consierge , it's the entire staff that are wearing masks to protect themselves and the residents.
I don't blame them at all! Nursing Homes and Assisted Living places have been hit pretty hard by the virus and both staff and residents have died of it. Actually, if I worked at either, I would've quit.
I am not blaming them either. The facility has taken extraordinary precautions. Family members must make appointments to visit a resident and are limited to 20 minutes at a designated location on the facility.
Here where I live I think they do a outstanding job. I would hope this would be the case at all Assisted Living places.
I don't know what the age requirements are to work in Assisted Living but I notice here at my facility several tall stately men that look old enough to be residents. They look like they could be retired waiters. They are quite efficient and courteous. They were used to bring meals to our apartments before the dining room re-opened, then as meal servers in the dining room.
