I have. Other than going to scheduled doctor appointments and taking brief walks in the hallways with my walker I have been cooped up here in my apartment watching movies, reading, surfing the net.
Not really. I go out at least twice a day. After breakfast, I go out for coffee(iced coffee). After lunch, I go out to post office for my mail and any supplies we might have run out of. A 3rd time would be to get takeout.
Yes. I haven't gone any farther than our front sidewalk in over 2 months. My husband checks on his mother twice a week but other than that he's home, too. We've been having groceries delivered for a couple of years so no change with that.
I have except for going through the drive through at the bank and the drug store. My son has been bringing my groceries.
I've been a "stay-at-homer" ever since I retired in July 1998. I haven't used my car in so long that I recently had to charge the battery to start it! I do miss going out to eat every Thursday...I must have saved $400-500 in restaurant bills since the Virus started. Hal
There is no actual stay-at-home requirement. Although wording to that effect was used, there is no real requirement to remain at home here in Maine. Not much is open, but I go where I want and there is only one place that I have come across that requires a mask, and I won't be shopping there anymore, even after this nonsense is over.
This virus "Stay-At-Home" order happened during part of our winter months, of which we don't do much anyway. And now, that we are under a "Safer-At-Home" order, we have gone out a little more, but only to Walmart and Safeway a few times. We are also working on our boat, in a RV/Boat Storage facility, preparing it for the lake. We do miss going out for breakfast and dinner, but done that only occasionally, not everyday. So, bottom line is......"we've coped with it".
We never had a "stay at home" order. I get out everyday for a drive. Love driving, always have. Backroads, National Forest, around the lake. No contact with people except once a week shopping!
Not a bit! No engine work done...…..that's already been done by a marine service. Replaced two cd player speakers and will re-install three fishing rod holders. Lon, this is all fun work!
We were not locked down much here but I was turned away from Puerto Plata by the military a few weeks ago. I went to the post office and could not send in my income tax because they had no air-mail right now. So Canada will have to survive without my money. Most time I have no need to go anywhere and happy to just play around here. The coffee truck just stopped an hour ago and I bought 5 bags of coffee at wholesale as he sells to all the small stores along the road. All quiet in the Dominican Republic
Since I'm such a homebody anyway....I had no problem staying home and my Honey was really happy to have a long paid vacation from his part time job. It gave us time to really think about things...and last week my Honey handed in his resignation and is fully retired now! I love having him home with me full time and am so happy we made this decision!
So far as I know, there have been no stay at home requirements. Suggestions yes. Requirements no. As much as I prefer to stay close to my abode anyway, it is indeed a good thing that staying at home has only been a suggestion and not mandated under a penalty of some over zealous official’s edict (not law) otherwise I’d be suing this state, county or city from a jail cell.
Yes we have and we did it for our own safety. Common sense tells you that there really is a problem out there and common sense tells you that you should protect yourself. If you lack common sense you will expose yourself which - in turn can expose anyone else you come in contact with who may have been trying to protect themselves. Those who wander about freely without taking precautions are thoughtless and selfish. You might think none of this is real .. it's nothing but a conspiracy and yada yada yada .. but have some consideration for the people who know it is real so we don't become another death statistic because of you. It's not THAT inconvenient to be considerate !
In my state the infection rate is currently .15% and mortality is .006%. Blanket statements about who is being considerate of other people when the businesses in our state are dying because of overkill are not helpful.
