I always liked Sam the Sham. Unbelievable he was still singing this in 2000. It is a catchy tune, but I think it died many years ago. I mean baaa-ad!!!
I see there hasn't been much Miscellaneous Banter while I was away. I need to remedy this situation ASAP.
Well, this is random. We put fertilizer on the lawn yesterday, expecting rain. Of course, the Rain Gods snickered while the sun blazed. So today I surveyed the cloudless skies and dragged out the sprinklers. They had been on for about 30 minutes when the clouds rolled in and the heavens opened up. I had to use an umbrella to turn the sprinklers off. Yessir, that's the way life goes.
Thanks @Patsy Faye ! You have contributed Miscellaneous Banter while saving me the trouble of googling for an appropriate response!! Hooray!
Hee hee Now how about me last week - we do a weekly shop at a big store. Its a very open area, there may be a slight breeze but get there and its beyond windy. So, I don my bobble hat, coat and boots and we stand in the queue Well me bobble was spinning at such a rate, I thought I was gonna take off !!
Thank God I am not the only one who imagined that! In my very visual and vivid imagination I saw senior ladies in the UK standing in a grocery queue with their virus masks on and multi-colored spinner caps twirling and whirling and making that buzzzzzz sound. I think I suffered a temporary brain sprain thinking that maybe this virus thing is more dangerous than I thought!
="Beth Gallagher, post: 431500, member: 718"]@Patsy Faye -- I was imagining more of a propeller beanie. I would definitely take off with that
Wife and I both love it! Wife doesn't look at me being a "pain in the butt" at all. And, she would tell anyone, "Not a dull moment in our home!. I've known dull men before and, no thanks."
