Yes, that's the one. There is an audio tape available of that event. Jones was yapping right up to the end. Disgusting. Jones, however, never drank the poisoned punch that killed nearly 900 of his followers. Instead, he died from a gunshot wound to the head. And of course there are conspiracy theories that he is still alive. Sorry, I digress. Carry on.
My problem with those older pictures is there were never a lot of pictures available until the internet. We may have learned about a person by name at some time, but didn't associate it with a face. The clue rings a bell, but not the face. For example, every kid in school had to memorize that Eli Whitney invented the cotton gin. Few knew what he looked like, unless there was one picture in a textbook Not saying I would know that guy anyway. Just sayin'
That's my problem, too, but not just with older pics but also with more recent ones, say, the first part of the last century. And, then again, it's so obvious that no further information is needed. If it is, it will be added. So, this guy invented the world's most popular drink which everybody associates the USA with. What could that be?
Coca-Cola ? But even if that's correct, I'd have to do a search to come up with a name. I thought that wasn't allowed.
It's correct. Using google at some point is inevitable. So if you have an idea based on the info provided and google Coke, the name and pic of Pemberton will come up. If that's not allowed, it will be a whole new ball game. @Craig Swanson What's you view on this?
