I like the hat. Get rid of the fur and the other outfit ain't bad either. The model is not a lot of fun tho
Yeh, I know. I was trying to draw a parallel to the things that women do today...things change And you wonder why hats have fallen out of style...men and women. My dad used to wear a hat all the time to work. My mother wore them to church all the time. Out here in the country it seems that styles lag behind a generation. Quite a few women still wear hats on Sundays. I like it. You know it's Sunday when you see them.
I think she is, now that you mention it. Its right hand is plastic-shiny, and the nails are flesh-colored.
I still have my mom's fox thingy (I think it was some critter called a Kalinski, though). I drug it out a few years ago for a "Mad Men" costume party and it was getting pretty ratty. I remember putting it in my granddaughter's dress-up box about 20 years ago and she wouldn't touch it.
Fascinator? Nope, that hat would be better described as a "horrifier", if you ask me. I think that was the main purpose of the hat.
It screams "Look at me!!!" Parenthetically is says ("Point and laugh behind my back.") Subconsciously it says "Take me to your leader."
