Gloria: Here are the "Like" options on a more recent version of this forum's software: I'm on a couple of other forums, and one of them has the above 6 choices and one of them only has 5 (it lacks the angry face.) Not sure if these are available on this site or not. It's an older version.
I have learned that adding these things are a bit of a challenge at times. It is being searched out how to add something new on here. Takes time though.
Yeh, it seems that when you fix one thing, you break 5 others. And it's not always easy to "put it back the way it was." One of the other forums I ma on completely changed from vBulletin software to XenForo (what we have here.) I wouldn't want to be responsible for it.
I changed my "style" on here to Default; that makes it easier to navigate for me. (Looks like standard XenForo in the blue colors.) For some reason it is easier on my eyes and not as busy.
Thanks. I changed it, and it makes a nice difference. I think the larger issue after too much online time is that white background makes you snowblind.
There is an option to change the colors in the SoC view (not Default). And to keep on topic, I had the shingles in December 2017.
I can't imagine. I don't often do vaccines (I don't get ever "flu shots"), but the fear of shingles caused me to get the original vaccine and then Shingrix.
Actually my case was mild compared to a lot of people. It was only on one arm and not very severe, though still uncomfortable. As soon as I saw the first sign of a rash I emailed my doctor and she prescribed the 2 shingles medications; apparently the sooner you begin the Rx the better. I have not had the vaccine(s) since I didn't think I had ever had chickenpox. Oops. As is the case when I am diagnosed with anything, I make it my life's work to learn everything I can about it. (Internet MD!!) I didn't know that shingles follow the nerve paths in the body, which is why some people get them around the torso or wherever a nerve path runs from the spinal cord. I remember the old wives' tale that said if the shingles rash entirely circled your body you were doomed. (I'm sure it feels that way, lol.) Some unfortunate people have residual nerve pain for years after an outbreak.
@Von Jones I had it at about age 40, started on right front chest, spread under armpit around to back. Armpit was the worst place for pain, discomfort. Dr. gave 2 injections into my behind. Pain eased in a day or two, but lasted a long time: + a week. Bad experience. Frank
I'm one of them. The pain can flare up under my arm and I'll walk around holding my arm up. Everything is on hold.
