There are days I feel that way. Skipping the news except for a brief update is only way to stay on an even keel. All of this to shall pass... at some point
If you watch the news frequently, you will certainly feel that way. They make everything sound a lot worse than it actually is. There is plenty of bad to worry about but there are way, way more good people out here in this country than bad people. We just don't get broadcast 24/7 like the bad does. My advice...... turn that @#$#@!$ "News" off and only read a few minutes of it on your computer once a day.
Our society has passed its expiry date. They usually last 200 years. The destruction has been going on for a long time, it's just that these days the mask is off. I, too, never thought I would see my country at this point. But I hope there's enough of us around who have not been ruined by the modern education system to fight back. And what we see on the news, and the disruption/destruction, are from the smallest of percentages of people...a bunch of extras in the mob, protesting for the sake of protesting.
I imagine the percentage might be right due to the fact that most folks probably weren’t around in 68 or too high playing with marijuana to remember. Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated, , Robert Kennedy was wounded, anti-Vietnam riots, race riots and demonstrations all over the place and a whole bunch of people in Southeast Asia were trying to kill me.......and I them. And...it didn’t end there because when I got back to the states, there were those who would have rather I was dead too. Yup, for me and many others who really remember 68, it was worse than now.
