Why are all the Health Care workers wearing masks as well as ALL resident's and employees in Assisted Living?

The same here. It had to be that way because there were no masks for the population available and not even enough for medical staff.

Those who are inclined to be afraid can do whatever they feel they need to do in order to give themselves a sense of security, however false it may be. I will do whatever I feel that I need to do. If they are right, they'll do okay, and if I'm right, I'll be okay. However, your fear should not limit my choices.
Martin--by now, everyone knows that the masks are NOT for the protection of the wearer. They are to keep the wearer's germs from spreading into the air from sneezes, coughing, or simply talking.
If a mask reduces the risk of me infecting you, think yourself lucky. Social distancing plus a face covering obviously works. Here in Britain politicians thank us every day for respecting the rules and bringing covid under control. Unfortunately we have an increasing number of people ignoring the advise. Instead of fining them a thousand pounds our ineffectual Prime Minister, who himself nearly died of the disease removed all punishment.
I'm fairly certain that I have had more medical training than you have, including on the use of a mask, and I know that I haven't contradicted myself as often as Dr. Fauci has.
If the mask works, why have to be the 6 feet distance, and if the distancing works, then why have to wear a mask ? If neither one works, why even do it ? Even more unbelievable is that it is safe to riot and protest, but not to gather peacefully for a rally. We are supposed to believe that the day or so after the Trump rally, any actual spike that occurred was from the rally, when the incubation period is over a week ? More “Fake Noose” from the media reporters.
