Actually, I've seen a rope end, shaped like a noose, as a garage door closer at a storage place. A person will lift up the sliding door by hand, but one the door is up, it can be too high for some to grab and pull down. In comes the rope and some do have a loop at the end of it that can definitely resemble a noose. Storage units at storage business don't use remotes to open/close storage units.

Most garages have some kind of rope to grab to close the door, even some that have a motorized door, and if they looked at all, probably a lot of the garages at the NASCAR area have some kind of a pull-rope. It is hard to conceive that people who race cars for a living, would have never heard of a rope for a garage door. Some people are calling this another one of the “Jussie Smollett” kind of deception, and making a big thing when nothing really happened. Some people are just looking for a reason to cry racism, and it certainly got this driver a lot of attention and notoriety.

These leftest don't know anything about a noose. A noose will tighten if you pull on it. A not slip loop not will not as you pull the door down the knot will not tighten on your fingers. These ignorant leftest look for anything to get upset about.
And that's what it turned out to be. It had been there since 2019. Apparently, it was used while they were installing the doors and not removed after all the automation was in place. Nothing to do with race.
The automated doors I have helped install had ropes to disengage the motor from the lever going to the door making it a manual door. It’s an emergency measure which insures that a person can still get out of a closed garage if the power goes out. Normally, the rope has nothing on the end so I’d just make a knot in it to make it easier to pull but I’ve seen some ropes that people have made loops on instead of a knot. Either way they want to spin it, from what I understand the FBI already said the whole thing is bogus.
