Protesters In DC Claim Whole Foods Is Racist, Call For It To Be Shut Down White protesters called for Whole Foods to be shut down because it attracts too many white people (and jobs, and places to buy groceries) to brown & black neighborhoods. The group marched down H Street chanting, “What do we want? Justice! When do we want it? Now!” (There were no reports of discussions among the confused offended/offending to just stop shopping there.) They have yet to break out Ban Me! placards. Or perhaps ↓I'm With Stupid↓ signs. College, college everywhere, and not a thought to think.
Yeh, I wince every time I hit the "Submit" button on an order. But when I boycott everyone I disagree with, I end up cold, naked and hungry. Years ago, the DC City Council that refused to grant Walmart permission to put a store in the city. They didn't want "those kind of jobs." Of course, the market should decide if the citizenry feels the same way. And yet one more place for the average guy on the street to shop was lost to politics, so politicians can whine that there is no place for the average guy on the street to shop. It's Aggressive Stupid at its finest, with a touch of Arsonist Fireman thrown in.
