I try to have a snack of whatever is on hand before bedtime. Doctors will tell you not to go to bed hungry. For me that is a must as I tend to walk in my sleep sometimes and have made myself a peanut butter sandwich, went back to bed while eating it and fell sound again, suddenly awoke when I began chewing and was shocked. I could have choked to death. Also have awakened to think I dreamed I ate something from the fridge during the night, only to find it wasn't a dream at all. So, now I make sure I eat something and have a glass of milk at bedtime. So far, so good.
@Lois Winters sometimes if I get up too early I'll have me a little snack and get in recliner I go back to bed it helps Got to be careful with that sleep walking though girl
I am snacking on a mixture avocado, onion, tomato and a tad of picante sauce and some chips - tasty tasty
I bought a container of 4 big blueberry muffins from the grocery store bakery this week. I decided to have one with my coffee after dinner and made the mistake of looking at the nutrition information. Yikes. Each muffin has 490 calories! So I cut myself a third of one and moped. What a letdown.
Nothing seemed to work in trying to cure me of it. I can go long periods without any incident and then all of a sudden I begin acting out my dreams. I've fallen out of bed reaching for something someone was trying to hand me and I leaned over too far. I talk out loud and wake myself up sometimes. I guess I must be really disturbed about stuff, and I haven't a clue as to what. Subconscious I would imagine.
Have you always sleep walked though or something new? If your alone think a bit scary. Perhaps a dog trained to handle sleep walked? I have a GD who is so bad she have to lock down everything. My oldest use to sleep walk also for a while. I am thinking psychological issues. I wish you well.
I have on and off since childhood. My mother and a cousin also sleep walked. No doubt it is a psychological issue. My cousin would go out and ride her bike but fortunately, my uncle would hear her and also catch up with her. He'd ask her where she was going and she'd reply, "to collect walnuts." They'd just ride around until she circled back home and went back to bed. They began locking everything down after that episode. I never did that or anything worse than making the peanut butter sandwich episode.
Have y'all noticed the older we get the smaller the food product becomes? Shrunnie little tab of ice cream on a stick, thin sickly little piece of a candy bar.....SMH...pitiful...yet the price is 2-4 timed higher than when we were kids. But those dang hamburgers get bigger and deadlier every year.
"Half gallon" of ice cream is really 3 pints. A "pound" bag of coffee is 12 ounces. (Notice both are 25% less?) This is why I am against us going to the metric system. Talk about an open door to rip us off. If you want to see $5/gallon gas, let them price it by the liter.
Our snackie today will be strawberry cake with fresh strawberries a mixture of cool whip and cream added. Gonna be tasty
