i recently renewed my licence on line and recieved a piece of paper back---i heard where some people got a laminated licence back- because of my age i had to get my eyes checked by a licenced eye doctor--do i send the receipt back to the dds and the price of the licence plus the eye exam papers?
What state are you in, Betty? In Texas, you get a paper receipt from the DPS, then in a few weeks the laminated license shows up in the mail. (I have never renewed online, though.) I'd suggest calling your local DPS office and ask how to proceed.
hey beth --i am from georgia--i really dont have to renew it till oct. do you think that i didnt get a laminated one
the dmv is just down the street from me but they said you could put in for your new licence 3 months early they wont answer their phone and there are a pile of people down there
I'm not sure about how Georgia does it, Betty. Your best answer would be to call the DMV office and ask what they need. It may be that they don't issue the laminated license until they have your eye exam results, but I don't know. What part of GA are you in? I'm originally from south GA, around Valdosta. My family is scattered from Bainbridge to Douglasville.
What a small world. My sister and BIL live on a farm between Douglas and Nashville. I have a bunch of nieces and nephews in that area, too. (Mostly Berrien County)
they only charged me 4 dollars on line i know a licence cost more than that - maybe after the kids get back to school and people go back to work their wont be so many peope there
really--i dont go shopping that much i usuall go for a little ride on sunday--there isnt much traffic then or to the doctor or drugstore---when you are pushing 87 you dont go far--so i like to stay out of there way lol
