I was just notified that the famed actress and the very last living cast member of “Gone with the Wind” has died at the age of 104. The only real thing I can think of at this time is that it’s too bad that she had to see the recent actions taken by a history ignorant bunch of idiots toward one of the greatest pictures ever made. May she indeed, Rest in Peace.

Great actress. Other than GWTW, I think the movie I remember her most for was Snake Pit with Leo Genn.
@Nancy Hart I first saw the Snake Pit as a kid, when it came out. One scene in particular scared the daylights out of me. In it, Victoria Cunningham is being interviewed to consider releasing her from the institution. There is a violent thunderstorm going on outside. As the authorities are grilling her, the wind keeps rattling a loose window pane somewhere, disregarded by the questioners, but greatly affecting poor Victoria.....Her facial reactions were priceless. These folks are the end of an era. Real acting in complete scenes...no special effects, no 5 second takes with most of the credit being due the editors. Real people and real plots.
I liked the films with Errol but a particular favourite is 'The Heiress' Now I will see if I can get that elusive film I've discovered …. Here she is again …..

My wife remembered her, but I didn't. But, have seen Gone With The Wind and it was a great movie. And, what you said Bobby, about this movie, her role and the idiotic stuff going on today..........very true.

I can't find anything else out there on this. All I can find are articles of a week or two old about his having COVID. Not that this is the ultimate source of facts...but his Wiki page has not been updated with his death and refers to him in the present tense, and that update usually happens pretty quickly. Appear that this is another of those fake death hoaxes, and I saw it online that Herman Cain had died, this morning , too. They are posting on his Twitter feed that he is still in the hospital, but recovering. However, about a week before John Lewis actually died, friends were posting that he had died, and then they retracted it and a week later, he was proclaimed dead. So , who knows.....
