The members of this Forum write more informed and intelligent posts than those on "Forum X", which I previously belonged to. Yes they do. Yes they do. I'm happier than ever that I found this Forum! I, too, was on another site before I found this one. I agree, Hal. I haven't visited it since I signed up here.
I have visited some site I saw on here months ago. Found quite a few from here on there. But just did not have the same feel. That I get from here. One is enough for me

I was also banned for life, and proud of it, no lie! Censorship has no place on forums, especially when some power freak moderator censors with no guidelines, simply on his own whims. (No, this did not involve politics.) Also, bringing a girlfriend into a pm so she can thumb up his disgusting putdowns is an obscenity that I will never abide. Interestingly, when others offered support, online, of my comments, the moderator cut off the thread. Yeah, great......
I think that most of those here who do/did belong there, have had the same experience as you did, TG. They were either permanently banned (sometimes for no good reason), or just got tired of it and left. Eventually, he re-set the lifetime bans, and the people who chose to come back did. I still check in from time to time (since I am unbanned now); but this has been my “home” ever since Ken started this forum. I first met my dear friend , Ina, (now deceased) on that forum, it still holds sentimentality for me, and I have been a member there since 2013, so a long time. We have a great admin here. We can talk about anything we want, providing we use respect and consideration for other people , discuss the thread topic, and not attack the writer. Even on the very few occasions where someone was banned, it has been more of a “time out”, to let the person think things over and cool down. You will find that Ken is very approachable and will listen to your side if there is a disagreement, and no one could be more fair than he is.
Thanks for your reply. I greatly appreciate it. To this day, I am not positive why I was banned. The last time I checked, my last replies were still up, but the thread had been closed by the moderator, after people agreed with what I had posted. I named no names, singled out nobody. Kind of frustrating, but I'm getting to like it here, more and more.
