There has been world wars that terrorized people, but some countries stayed neutral. This time we have a fore much greater than any country we have the medical system which is in every country. A multi-national business that is the largest in the world. The people that started out in oil and after making millions/billions of dollars turn their wealth into the medical system. They now have their own authority to arrest people make laws and over rule most legal systems. When they feel challenged they come out with their police force from the FDA to brake in doors with guns threatening some on for selling milk. This is gusto tactics but no one seem to care. Now they are shutting down the world and mandating things that have no scientific proof. The only proof they say is we said it. The WHO is now proven wrong the CDC is lying about deaths, doctors are persecuted for telling the truth. Research from all around the world is being denied. Putting down old cheap drugs that have an over 90% cure rate for drugs that are expensive with a 65% cure rate. What is wrong with this picture? The media is all in on this fraud and now pushing for a vaccine telling everyone that things cannot go back to normal till we have it. Vaccine were brought out many years ago and they were accepted as necessary but than people were being injured and killed by vaccines. So they went to the government which they bought and paid for to make laws that protected them from being sued even if it kills. National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Childhood_Vaccine_Injury_Act https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/42/300aa-22 How could vaccines be safe when they say you cannot sue them??? After passing that law the child hood vaccines went from about 16 to 60 because they now could do anything they wanted. Any proven claims which are very hard to prove are paid by the government using your money. What an insult. Cats are getting cancer from vaccines https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vaccine-associated_sarcoma They are claiming that certain cats react differently that is why. Could people react differently we don’t want to study that. Maybe the people will wake up and realize that this billion/trillion dollar business is just a business and not here to help.
My experience with medical tyranny is more local. I can't be prescribed any decent sedative medication for the extremely high physical anxiety caused by my illness. (aftereffects of a botched cancer operation ). The doctors say the risk of addiction is too high. My position is that my illness is incurable - I will die with it, I often consider suicide because of the constant nausea, anxiety and lack of sleep - so what difference does it make if I get addicted to an effective medication? I'll never have to withdraw from it. Instead of making an independent decision for the best care of their patients they blindly follow the policy of the corporation they work for. I can't find a local PC physician who works for him/herself.
@Dwight Ward what if there was a cure for your illness but it was outside the medical system would you ever consider trying it?
Martin, I appreciate the thought. My esophagus is entirely gone. My stomach is pulled up and attached to the bottom of my throat, stretched up through a passage in my diaphragm. What's left is distorted and less than half normal size. Because of that I have nausea every waking minute and zero appetite. At one point, before I stated forcing myself to eat small amounts, I went from my normal 210 lbs to less than 115 and couldn't stand without passing out. There is no fixing these physical alterations in my body, no more than I could grow a new arm or leg. I'm sorry to be so graphic about my troubles but there's no cure for me. Thanks again for you good intentions.
The medical establishment has over-reacted to the opioid situation by denying it's availability to those like yourself obviously. Look what the junkies created. Have you considered illegal procurement?
I've had the idea. Unfortunately I knew my last drug dealers in my twenties and wouldn't know how to make any contacts locally. I'd be a little afraid of doing that , too. With my luck I'd ask an informant or undercover cop. I'd rather be old and sick at home rather than the same in jail. Good suggestion, though. Thanks.
Sorry to hear of your physical difficulties, Dwight. I have to agree about the addiction concerns... at our ages, who cares? If we have the means to support the "addiction" and the medication helps us, then why the hell not? Isn't that the very point of medication in the first place? I have a friend who has several issues that cause her debilitating pain, and she takes quite a cocktail of pain medication to control it. It is increasingly difficult for her to get the relief she needs to have any quality of life, all in the name of preventing "addiction." What horse-hockey. One doctor I used to see applied a form of "Medical Tyranny" by forcing patients to have tests (blood, urine, etc.) a couple of times a year. If you didn't go in for the tests, he wouldn't renew prescriptions for blood pressure medication or whatever. Then you had to schedule a follow up appointment to hear the test results. Obviously milking the insurance companies for unnecessary testing and office visits. And he was a pharmaceutical pill-pusher... always writing prescriptions for all sorts of stuff and urging patients to have flu shots, pneumonia shots, etc. etc. I now have a doctor who sees me once a year for blood work and then posts the results in a patient portal for me to see. She renews my blood pressure medication electronically. No unnecessary office visits.
"I now have a doctor who sees me once a year for blood work and then posts the results in a patient portal for me to see. She renews my blood pressure medication electronically. No unnecessary office visits" Good for you. The last good doctor I had worked for himself. He treated my severe Lyme disease arthritis with , at first mild painkillers, then stronger, and then finally oxycontin, increasing the dose as my pain advanced. I was on it for about six months and of course became highly addicted. When my pain faded away I went off it the withdrawal was tough and lasted weeks. I accepted the suffering of withdrawal as a necessary part of my treatment. Alas. that doctor no longer practices in the area.
Unfortunately there seem to be many more poor doctors than good ones. I'm lucky to live in a major metro area where there are plenty of doctors to choose from, but I've had my share of duds. My current "doctor" is actually a PA, and she's the best doctor I've ever had. She belongs to a group practice and so far it has worked out very well, though luckily I have few health concerns.
