    Are you saying that Kamala will Not be debating Pence in October? What??

    Harris is a citizen of the United States and has been since birth.

    She was born in Oakland, California, on Oct. 20, 1964, according to Encyclopedia Britannica. Her parents were both immigrants — her father from Jamaica and her mother from India.

    By virtue of her birth in California, Harris is a natural-born U.S. citizen.

    The Citizenship Clause of the 14th Amendment provides that "all persons born or naturalized in the United States and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside."

    And that's not dependent on their parents' citizenship. "Anyone born on U.S. soil and subject to its jurisdiction is a natural born citizen, regardless of parental citizenship," according to the Cornell Legal Information Institute.

    Parental citizenship is relevant to an individual's citizenship status only if the individual is born outside of the United States.

    If a child born abroad "has at least one parent, including an adoptive parent, who is a U.S. citizen by birth or through naturalization," then they are eligible to become an American citizen, too, per U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.

    She’s pretty fierce but Pence has a habit of coming out of the woodwork when the time is right so it will be interesting to watch.

    Very bad choice on Biden's part. Harris comes with a lot of very negative baggage which will not go over well in the Bible Belt, and Middle America.

    I think that Kamala Harris will probably think that shredding and being nasty is the same thing as having an intelligent debate based on facts; but I am pretty sure that Mike Pence will think circles around her when it comes to actually discussing any topic.
    We all know that people who have no valid facts to use, simply resort to attacking the person instead of debating the issue. What worked with Biden is not nearly as apt to work with our Vice President, because he is not an accused rapist and child molester, nor is he suffering from dementia.

    Sometimes a VP is chosen because she is smart well educated, effective and professional.
    Sometimes they are chosen if they call their wife Mommy and are scared to be alone with another woman and display repressed homosexual tendencies.

    So folks are really so short sight as to think Harris was chosen only because she can best Pence in a debate? That is pretty much long term thought for the Republican Party.
    She was chosen as most vice presidents generally are,( I will concede that a minority female was a surrender to PC) because they are capable and perceived to be able to work well with the President. That they know their way around Washington, that they have contacts and pressure points needed to advance the administrations plans.This lady is going to be the vice president for the next 4 probably 8 years, and who knows what after that.

    Yvonne, What is your definition of being nasty? Can a man be nasty or is it just something that trump can assign to a woman. Never heard of an establishment woman,(as opposed to a street whore, or lot lizard) referred to as nasty until a certain language handicapped administrator put the term into vogue for all other misogynist pundit both professional and amateur.
