Has she always worn the pants in your family?

We share that "wearing the pants" thing. And, she looks mighty good in her Wrangler jeans and says I do to.

Now, she does love my humor, and, sometimes, sarcastic ways of talking. She's loved it for the past 20 years.

The reason will be forthcoming after a little more study...

There's way too many clever seniors here. You're right, of course, John.

Is there a #KindaDumbSeniors forum I could join?

Actually, I started such a forum. I just forgot to include a "Sign Up" function. It's awfully lonely over there...

And I had to smile at your stated reason for taking psych classes. I think we all know that lots of psychologists and psychiatrists started out chasing their own ghosts (physician, heal thyself.) I believe that those who go into practice are required to do ongoing work with a therapist themselves as part of the licensing process.

    It's rather fascinating.

The sign-up function should be easy enough to fix. Weeding out folks with a high IQ is more complicated. I'd do it by asking their name,, address, age, etc., If they know all that stuff then they don't get in.

This reminds me of an article I read on those "Your Nigerian Uncle has left you an inheritance..." emails.
They are intentionally awkwardly written for a reason.

If those emails seem plausible, then the scammers' time will he wasted by people who might follow through to a point, but never consummate the deal once they smell a rat. So the emails are written to filter out (as Dwight stated) "folks with a high IQ," and entice the gullible to continue.

    Deviously clever.

Speaking of Nigerians, I got my semi-annual email from the FBI, telling me they had "recovered" my $28 million. I need to get on that ASAP.

Did I get chloroformed and moved with all the other off topic miscreants?
And if so, how am I supposed to feel about it?

...and then I turned 8. It was a strange year. Cuba was having a crisis with its missiles, and for some reason hiding under our desks made it better. Made about as much sense as cleaning my plate so some Chinese kid wouldn't starve...
