As a newborn an appendectomy, as a preteen oral surgery, in my twenties laparoscopic surgery. With the exception of the appendectomy, these were the only surgeries where I was put under.

Let's see, I had a cyst removed from my hand, and there were two surgeries involved with a strangulated hernia in the late 1990s. While in the hospital, I caught a drug-resistant bacteria, one for which they had to design an antibiotic just for me. It was hugely expensive. They didn't fix the hernia the first time they cut me open, but that was when I came across the bacterial infection. After moving to another hospital, they couldn't correct the botched surgery because of the bacterial infection. I wasn't allowed to eat or drink anything for more the than six weeks that I was in the hospital. I was on morphine and pretty much out of it, so I don't know exactly what happened, but they were able to correct the strangulation without cutting me open again. Much later, when I went in to have a gallbladder removed, the surgeon repaired the hernia. What else? Yes, I had two thyroidectomies. First the right side and, a couple of months later, the left side.

Surgeries where I was put under? ...Only for removal of 4 wisdom teeth, in my early 20's, as far as I can remember.

I remember because I was going to show them it wouldn't work on me. Count to 10, they said....1,2,3,4, clunk.

Mid to late 90s I had a ruptured disc removed from my neck (C-4/C-5 cervical vertebrae, if I recall correctly.)

I got in an FDA pilot program where they used a NOVUS CT Cage rather than fashioning a shim from bone material harvested from my hip. The Cage had already been used to fuse thoracic vertebrae, but never cervical until then.

    Other than that...nuthin'
    Knock on wood.

Tonsils cut out without my permission and something else was tampered with and I’m not even Jewish. Nothing glamorous and certainly nothing to gab about whilst sitting on a park bench.

Laparoscopic surgery for a hernia. I don't know if it's actually surgery, but they poked a tube in my side to drain a lung after a motorcycle accident.
